The Summer of Game Sales

July has just begun and already the digital sales have begun! Check out the links and read on for more info on each of them. Also be sure to check out my tips on making the most of a digital sale!

GreenManGaming’s 666 Sale
6 deals lasting for 6 hours over 6 days
This means four sets of deals each day, for a total of 24 sales in all. I’m not sure as of now if there will be any repeats or not, but if the first batch of deals is any indication, this is going to be a sweet sale!

If you’re planning on getting one of the games in the 666 deal, be sure to use the coupon code GMG10-U49LX-GAE17 for an extra 10% off.

Just note that youll need to create an account to buy anything from GreenManGaming. If you need to register an account, you can use my referral link and as soon as you make your first purchase you’ll receive a $2 credit towards your next purchase!

EDIT: as of right now (~11PM CST) the GreenManGaming site is suffering under heavy load and may be a bit unstable. GMG staff have address the issue and hopefully we’ll get another chance at of some of the first few sales.

GreenManGaming’s Super Dooper 25% off coupon code
In addition to the crazy 666 deals going on, there’s another coupon code that will get you 25% off on ‘selected titles’. (GMG25-BAWQB-8UQWG)

This can be used for pre-orders as well, so you can pick up games like Saints Row IV, Total War: Rome II, Batman Arkham Origins, and Civ 5 (just to name a few) at 25% off!

Amazon’s Digital Games Summer Sale
Not a lot to say about this honestly, except that it’s really big. GMG is outshining everyone today with the ridiculous sale on Borderlands 2, so even Amazon’s attempt to be a good value is looking meager in comparison.
If there’s a game you’re looking for in particular, there’s a good chance it’ll be on sale at Amazon, though it may be worth waiting for.

Honorable Mention: Gamefly

Gamefly isn’t a site that may come immediately to mind when thinking of where to buy a digital game, but they oftentimes have some pretty good deals going on.

Their coupon for 20% off applies to a large number of digital games. GFDJUL20, and while it’s eclipsed slightly by GreenManGaming’s 25% off discount, there are a few games not available on GMG that you can get on Gamefly for a steal.

My pick from Gamefly would have to be Deadpool. At $32 after the coupon, it’s worth picking up, even if it is short and can get a bit samey if played in long bursts.

The coupon should also apply if you’re interested in pre-ordering PAYDAY 2. 20% off bring the price down from 30 bucks to 24.
